PIZZA! PIZZA!

I love eating pizza since the time my parents gave me a slice of pizza when I was still a kid. I never encountered any person in my life who doesn't love eating pizza. I don't know if there's anyone here in Multiply who dislikes eating pizza. Anyway, I like almost all pizza flavors except for one. Many years ago, my aunt bought a mango pizza from Greenwich and she took it home for everyone. When I tasted it, I feel like eating a dessert, not a pizza! My other family members liked it, but for me mangoes are not for pizza toppings they're only for cold desserts.

Last year, a new pizza restaurant opened near our school, Abbondanza (Pizzeria Ristorante). They offer different kinds of Italian pizza and their very own signature pizza. I celebrated my birthday last February in that ristorante. Their pizzas are very cheap, but tastes like premium Italian pizza. All their pizzas cost Ps 285--eight slices, I think. Abbondanza is located near Pearl Drive and San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

My friend also recommended to me Piazza Pazzo located at level P1, PowerPlant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City. They offer gelato (yum!), pizza, and pasta. You should try everything in their food menu. You won't feel any satisfaction in eating pizza alone, it's better to eat pizza with a gelato and a spicy pasta! Hehe!

Status: Downloading Complete

DOWNLOADING is not easy. Sometimes it takes you more than a minute to download a music or downloading a two hour film might consume more than an hour of your time. But time doesn't matter if at the end of it you will receive something you will enjoy for your entire life (hehe!).

Before I subscribed to Globe Broadband, I'm using dial-up connection which is something obsolete to me now (hehe!). I always have a hard time dealing with that connection because the connection is always interrupted every time there's an incoming call or if my mom is waiting for an important call, I have to patiently wait for the call and the end of their phone conversation. At last, I got a broadband, no waiting, no interruptions, and no need to unplug the phone line.

Anyway, I'm not suppose to blog about broadband or anything about Internet connection. Have you downloaded music lately? I suppose your answer is YES and I suppose you downloaded either American Idol 7 songs or something you heard from the radio or from the iPod or MP3 of your barkada. I think the reason behind downloading music is not just to enjoy the music itself but also to stay in fashion among your friends. I know someone who always download music everyday to stay "in" among his barkada, so that if his/her friend listens to his iPod he won't feel out of fashion instead he would feel proud that he updates his playlist everyday.

Lately, I downloaded Sitti Navarro's Bossa Nova songs because I feel like I want to relax and I thought of listening to smooth sounds like Sitti's voice (she's really amazing!). I admit, I didn't buy it (hehe!) I downloaded it from LimeWire Basic. I know it's another form of piracy, but I'm always tempted to download and listen to the latest music. Btw, piracy is a mortal sin because it's another form of stealing which is included in the ten commandments. Thou shalt not steal. Oppppss!

If you want to download legally, then buy it [music/movies/games] legally! There are several online downloading sites where you can buy music at a cheaper price like Php30-40 per song and an album which cost around Php250-300. I found this site where you can buy and download music which is available in the Philippines. Click here.

CAREGIVER

In the past few years, we have been hearing and seeing advertisements from schools like St. Augustine and other "saint schools" about CAREGIVING courses. I wonder how much is the demand in America and in Europe for caregivers. Probably, the ageing population is increasing in Europe or probably more families in America are leaving their elder family member/s in care giving centers or in home for the aged.

Personally, care giving is a noble act no matter how some people perceive it. Giving care to someone whom you do not know is an act of charity. As I recall from my third Theology course, PURITY is possible through acts of charity. We can be charitable in many ways. Giving alms to the poor (not to the police!), helping your friend tie his/her shoe, or by simply offering a prayer for the souls punished in Purgatory.

One can be charitable while working that is through care giving. Care givers face the most emotionally challenging work. It's emotionally challenging because it's difficult to understand the lives of other people and the difficulties they faced in the past with their family members who left them. As you will see more in the up coming movie of the only Megastar, Ms. Sharon Cuneta, you will see the sacrifices of our Filipino caregivers in London and how they dealt with the freezing climate and emotional stress. May 28 is care giving day!

Fly High Like A Bird

The birds are the only creature on Earth that could freely fly without paying any air fare and other costs plus they could fly anywhere without boundaries.

I wish I could fly to London or to Paris or to the Carribean for free! But that's too expensive, right? An Asian tour would do but it's still expensive (hehe!). If I get a chance to experience an Asian tour I would go to China, Japan, Thailand and Korea. First, I want to go to the Great Wall of China and then eat Cantonese food. Second, I want to visit Japan, buy Akira Kurosawa movies, and hopefully experience wearing the Samurai outfit (hehe! I want to know if it's really heavy). Third, I want to visit Phuket, Thailand to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach in Phuket. Lastly, I want to go to Korea and go to Jeju Island, experience the snow, and meet Korean celebrities hehe!

After writing my second paragraph, I was interrupted by my friend who was telling me a news. Upon hearing the news, I said "Whaaaat? Are you sure!?!?!"

You won't believe this! I thought birds are the only creatures on Earth that could fly for free. Check this out---IT's UNBELIEVABLE!

Back to Basic

Men's fashion is always boring! In the past, colors pink and yellow are a no-no. Only ladies can wear such "feminine colors." They say, dark colors are for men and light colors are for women. In the past few years, we see men wearing pink shirts or polos. I think it was Justin Timberlake who initiated "pink phenomenon" for men. He wore a pink tie together with a white polo long sleeve and black suit.

Men's fashion statement is still "back to basic." The classic formula for men is still the black and white tandem. No matter what occasion you will attend black and white are still the safest colors. But if you're really bored with black and white colors, you can always try other colors/designs make sure it's either solid/plain color or stripes. "Mayor Atienza" style is out! You know what I mean, the "Tropical or Hawaiian" polo designs can never be classic like what Mayor Atienza is trying to establish as his own everyday fashion statement.

Black and white colors are versatile colors. They save you from shame of being out of place in an occassion. Going back to basic black and white or straight cut for jeans doesn't mean you're out of fashion. It only means that you're just being proper in wearing clothes. It's a must have in your closet or else...I recommend you to read this article to know more about A GUY'S IMPORTANT BASICS

Edmund is Back!

To all NARNIANS! Here's an interview of actor Skandar Keynes, who played the role as Edmund Pevensie in the first installment of the "Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."

He's now 16 years old! If before he was the "good guy" who chose the evil witch, now he's grown up and his role is more mature.

The second installment will be in theatres on June 4! I'm so excited to see Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian!

Rainy Season

June is the start of my rainy season but last week it's already raining!

We're suppose to enjoy the summer heat this month but we're always interrupted by the rain. I like the rain when I'm at home but I dislike it when I'm going to school or to the mall because I have to bring umbrella and jacket to protect me from getting wet.

I dislike summer when I go out on lunch time but I enjoy summer when going to the beach and drinking my favorite smoothies.

Anyway, time to bring out those jackets and long umbrellas because it will be raining from time to time soon! For now, just wear caps or breathable clothes to prevent our skin from sun exposure. Of course, never forget to bring a bottle of water to prevent dehydration.

My Mom's Secret - REVEALED

I always admire the radiant beauty of my Mom. She's only 40 years old (I will upload her picture soon!). Some say, she's my eldest sister (hehe!). At her age, wrinkles and other ageing problems will show up on her face. But not on my mom! I asked my Lola why my mom and her daughters look young despite of their age and problems they faced. I don't understand why her face does not define her age? Maybe it's because of us? Yeah, coz we're not "pasaway" to her (Happy Mother's Day, Mom)!

I looked up her beauty kit but I don't know which keeps her young and extraordinarily beautiful. I'm not sure if she discovered the fountain of youth when she visited our province last year. Last week, I asked my mom if she could reveal to me her top secret. But I failed. She refused to reveal her deepest secret to a beautiful and young skin.

While I was in her room, I took a nap while she's still out in our garden with our dog. After a few minutes, I find out something below her blanket. I thought I accidentally squeezed a food or something liquid until I found out what I have been wondering before, her beauty SECRET.

Find out what keeps her young and beautiful. - It's finally revealed!

The Perfecr Gift For Your Mom

What else can you give to your mom this Mother's day? Aside from the jewelries and huge flowers you gave to your mom last Mother's day, what else?

Honestly, I don't give material gifts to my mom every Mother's day. I simply greet her a "happy mother's day!" I always believe that thoughts matter most above all other material things on earth. I think non-material things like saying "I love you" or "thank you, mom!" are more precious and genuine. However, I am not saying that we shouldn't give material gifts to our moms, giving material gifts is another way of expressing our thoughts. Gifts are more visible in expressing our thoughts. The mere fact that you spent your money or you saved your money for your mom's gift translates to an "I care for you" or "I love you!" thoughts.

This mother's day, I am encouraging everyone to greet your mom and spend quality time with her. It's an important date to show your mom how much you love her.

I recommend that you give your mom some flowers, or a beautiful bag or spa Gift Certificate. These are gifts which I think your mom will surely love! But of course, pair your gift with a simple "I LOVE YOU!"

You don't have to spend too much for your Mother's day gift. Here's a promo where you can get a chance to win Mother's day gifts! PERFECT GIFT FOR YOUR MOM

Dyosa Meets Dyesebel?

Dyosa meets Dyesebel? Why not?

Anne Curtis is the new Dyosa of Kapamilya's Primetime Bida. When I watched her movie, When Love Begins, I admired her beauty and I think she's perfect for the role as Dyosa. I also saw her pictures from the movie, and there was one picture of her behind the sunset which made me agree that the role fits her so much. The trailer of Dyosa is already in YouTube. By the way, Dyosa is a remake like Dyesebel.

On the other hand, Marian Rivera, as we all know she proved to us that she's not a newbie anymore. She's currently playing the role as Dyesebel. I must admit that the character is very much like Marian, the bubbly and cheerful character of Dyesebel. I think Marian will fit the character of the female lead character of the popular Korean drama "Full House" because she's a natural comedian. Unfortunately she wasn't able to join the once in a lifetime movie of Vic and Dolphy because of her busy schedules taping Dyesebel.

Let's just see what will happen when Dyosa premieres on the third quarter of 2008.

Happy Mother's Day!

This evening medyo na-bore ako while browsing the net and reading comments... Bigla ko na lang naisip yung sinasabi sa akin ni Myra na Filipina daw na popular sa YouTube, and naalala ko rin na napanood ko pala yesterday sa Jessica Soho show. I went to YouTube and typed the name "Madonna Decena."

"Nakaka-iyak!" She's really a talented mom! She went to England to work and get more work for the FUTURE of her kids. She's really a great mom and a good example to all moms! Hindi lang ako naiyak sa story nya, pero tumaas talaga balahibo ko sa ganda ng boses nya. Very impressive indeed especially her version of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." Yan ang totoong singer, may "puso!"

Malapit na mag-Mother's day. Let's remember our Mom/Mama/Nanay/Inay/Momsie/Mother and don't forget to say a simple "I love you!" samahan nyo na rin ng FLOWERS hehe... Madonna Decena is indeed a SUPER TALENTED MOM!
