Iba ang kain 'pag kanin -- CHAO FAN

Busog. Totoo, iba talaga ang kain 'pag kanin. That's what I said to Alexis after the bloggers event last Wednesday June 25 at Chowking Eastwood City branch, Libis, Quezon City. Chowking is currently promoting CHAO FAN which mean fried rice.

You can choose from pork, beef, spicy, and yang chow.

Imagine this, eating more than one cup of rice plus small slices of pork and beef, shrimps, dumplings, shanghai rolls, and vegetables. Busog talaga! At only P39.00 mabubusog ka agad... Kaya nga "SARAP STARTS @ P39.00" Tubig na lang, ayos na! hehe... I tried all Chao Fan, I must say they're all tasty and flavorful. My personal favorite is SPICY CHAO FAN--tasty, flavorful, steaming hot, and moist stir fried rice mixed with tender beef cuts, and succulent chewy chicken balls, seasoned with hot chili-garlic spices and thick soya sauce. Haaaaay... BUSOG!

My favorite SPICY CHAO FAN

PORK CHAO FAN - P39.00

Tasty, flavorful, steaming hot, and moist stir-fried rice mixed with pork slices in a specially blended sauce of thick shirmp paste and sacha suace; and kangkong leaves; sprinkled with spring onions; Can be topped with choices of fried or steamed dumplings.

BEEF CHAO FAN - P49.00
Tasty, flavorful, steaming hot, and moist stir-fried rice mixed with beef chunks in a special beef sauce, cabbage and carrot bits; sprinkled with spring onion. Can be topped with choices of fried or steamed dumplings.

YANG CHOW - P79.00 [PREMIUM]
Tasty, flavorful, light yellow and moist stir fried rice, sauteed with chorizo bits, roasted pork asado bits, beaten egg and fresh crisp vegetables, topped with sauteed shrimps.

CHAO FAN can be topped with choice of fried or steamed dumplings, egg, or shanghai rolls.

SIOMAI

FRIED DUMPLINGS / SHANGHAI ROLLS

According to Chowking, they didn't short change their customers despite the decrease in the price of Chao Fan. In fact, "mas pinabigat at mas pinasangkap" pa ang bagong Chao Fan. They also said, "wala pong rice crisis sa Chowking" :)

Tongue Twister Game: "Iba ang kain 'pag kanin" (repeat that for 15 seconds.. hehe!) I didn't win but I got P500 Gift Certificate from Chowking and Yehey.

25 lucky bloggers w/ Po the panda

Hehe... Sa sobrang sarap napa-take out ako! :P

CHAO FAN is available during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sulit na sulit talaga para sa mga nagtitipidat gustong mabusog instantly! Thanks to Chowking and Yehey! :)

Un giorno del tutto speciale

Monday (June 16) was so EXTRA special, not because I met an extraterrestrial being on earth, but because I was chosen to join the other 14 bloggers for a special lunch treat from Italianni’s.

My friends from UA&P, Alexis and Steph, were also chosen (indeed they’re very lucky as well). We arrived at exactly, 10:30am at Bonifacio High Street, Taguig. Since, we’re sooo early, we took the chance to take pictures of around Serendra like this picture below (hehe!).

Ok, finally, it’s 10:50am on my watch and we’re ready to go to Italianni’s. Actually, I’m really excited to go because I’m excited to see Ms Ann, Sir Alvin and the rest of team Yehey! The place was exclusive for the event, well not the whole vicinity of the restaurant, there’s a special place in the restaurant for special occasions I think… The interiors and the adornments in and out of the restaurant are absolutely Italian!

In our table, I met Jane, not one but two Janes The first Jane is a foodie or “buongustaia” in Italian. The other Jane is a mom and a yogi.

The program started with few introductions from Maki, Yehey!’s Marketing Associate. He also administered the game “Bring Me” with a twist, ‘coz you have to bring an extra of the item being asked. Luckily, I won P500.00 worth of Italianni’s GC and 2 Caregiver movie passes! Thanks to my EXTRA yellow shirt!

The marketing manager of Italianni’s explained about the current promo of Italianni’s, when you dine at any Italianni’s restaurant you’ll be surprised with the “extra” gift that they will offer you for FREE, I repeat for FREE. They could serve you pasta, desserts, drinks, or whatever is lacking in your order.

Here’s the picture of the EXTRA gift from Italianni’s

Mussels Lombardi (5 stars!)—see Italianni’s is so generous despite the food crisis! This one cost like Php320+ (very generous indeed!)

Here’s my favorite main dish, Grilled Pork Chops Au Poivre, I like it because I like Marsala sauce with some crushed pepper plus I really enjoyed the crispy spinach and potatoes.

Another favorite, Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio, yummy! As you can see, it’s served with toasted garlic bread… Yes, it has spinach, artichoke, and mushrooms, cream and cheese…

Here’s my fave dessert, Chocolate Pecan Cluster

Another favorite! This is the gift from Italianni’s to Alexis, since she celebrated her birthday last June 5. New York Cheesecake + Tiramisu + Panna Cotta = delizioso!

Here are the other food we ordered, haaay... what else can I ask for... hehe.. super thanks to Italianni's and Yehey!

Sicilian Salad... I also like this... Hehe, parang lahat na lang.

Creamy Mushroom Crostinnis

Classic Carbonara (this one is also good, it's not very creamy, just right). The serving is quite enough for ONE person but the price is too expensive something like Php270+ I think... For me, I'll rate their carbonara 3 out of 5.

Fried Calamari. I forgot to try the dip! Thank God, it's not gummy!

Grilled Pepper Crusted Fish Fillet. Again, because I'm really full I forgot to try this... Hehe.

After the special lunch... Picture together with fellow bloggers and Ms. Ann.

Indeed, I really had a very special special extra lunch! Again, thanks to Italianni's and Yehey!

PIZZA! PIZZA!

I love eating pizza since the time my parents gave me a slice of pizza when I was still a kid. I never encountered any person in my life who doesn't love eating pizza. I don't know if there's anyone here in Multiply who dislikes eating pizza. Anyway, I like almost all pizza flavors except for one. Many years ago, my aunt bought a mango pizza from Greenwich and she took it home for everyone. When I tasted it, I feel like eating a dessert, not a pizza! My other family members liked it, but for me mangoes are not for pizza toppings they're only for cold desserts.

Last year, a new pizza restaurant opened near our school, Abbondanza (Pizzeria Ristorante). They offer different kinds of Italian pizza and their very own signature pizza. I celebrated my birthday last February in that ristorante. Their pizzas are very cheap, but tastes like premium Italian pizza. All their pizzas cost Ps 285--eight slices, I think. Abbondanza is located near Pearl Drive and San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

My friend also recommended to me Piazza Pazzo located at level P1, PowerPlant Mall, Rockwell Center, Makati City. They offer gelato (yum!), pizza, and pasta. You should try everything in their food menu. You won't feel any satisfaction in eating pizza alone, it's better to eat pizza with a gelato and a spicy pasta! Hehe!

Check out their other food offerings:click here PIAZZA PAZZO

Status: Downloading Complete

DOWNLOADING is not easy. Sometimes it takes you more than a minute to download a music or downloading a two hour film might consume more than an hour of your time. But time doesn't matter if at the end of it you will receive something you will enjoy for your entire life (hehe!).

Before I subscribed to Globe Broadband, I'm using dial-up connection which is something obsolete to me now (hehe!). I always have a hard time dealing with that connection because the connection is always interrupted every time there's an incoming call or if my mom is waiting for an important call, I have to patiently wait for the call and the end of their phone conversation. At last, I got a broadband, no waiting, no interruptions, and no need to unplug the phone line.

Anyway, I'm not suppose to blog about broadband or anything about Internet connection. Have you downloaded music lately? I suppose your answer is YES and I suppose you downloaded either American Idol 7 songs or something you heard from the radio or from the iPod or MP3 of your barkada. I think the reason behind downloading music is not just to enjoy the music itself but also to stay in fashion among your friends. I know someone who always download music everyday to stay "in" among his barkada, so that if his/her friend listens to his iPod he won't feel out of fashion instead he would feel proud that he updates his playlist everyday.

Lately, I downloaded Sitti Navarro's Bossa Nova songs because I feel like I want to relax and I thought of listening to smooth sounds like Sitti's voice (she's really amazing!). I admit, I didn't buy it (hehe!) I downloaded it from LimeWire Basic. I know it's another form of piracy, but I'm always tempted to download and listen to the latest music. Btw, piracy is a mortal sin because it's another form of stealing which is included in the ten commandments. Thou shalt not steal. Oppppss!

If you want to download legally, then buy it [music/movies/games] legally! There are several online downloading sites where you can buy music at a cheaper price like Php30-40 per song and an album which cost around Php250-300. I found this site where you can buy and download music which is available in the Philippines. Click here.
